Golden Harmony |
Dear family and friends,
I’m sitting at my hotel desk looking at an unfamiliar sight - clouds over Chiang Mai. The streets are all wet from last night’s rain and the air is clear. This is a good change. I want to write about this place, but at the moment I realize that I could be anywhere, in any hotel room, in any city somewhere in the world on a rainy day . . . and my thoughts would still be the same. It’s 2012 and I made it!! to this auspicious year. 2012. Wow! I sit here and ask myself - how can I most fully honor myself - and you - in this great year of dimensional change?
At the end of this month, January 30th, I will turn sixty five. Because my birthday is relatively close to the new year, I’ve decided to use this time to present my New Year Resolutions - ten of the sixty five re-salutes to myself.
Dharma |
In my last blog I wrote of an inner suggestion to 'shut up.' This led to my first resolution:
1. I will live my 65th year doing my Dharma. I’m a writer of stories! I incarnated to witness life on earth and then write inspirational short stories, poetry and novels during this time of shift into 5th dimensional consciousness. I will no longer listen to any voice, internal or otherwise, in any way, that tells me to Shut Up. I was born to write stories and by gum I will! (thank you Gayle! * see ps note at the end of this blog)
So, here is my “true” rainy morning Chiang Mai story: I was with a master writer and together, as his protege, we were critiquing the writing of one of his students. We came upon this particular sentence that was written in the most beautiful poetic sequence; better than either one of us thought we could write. I loved those words and I wanted to take them, use them; I wanted to stop and write them down--it would be plagiarism--and I didn’t dare. Later I regretted not taking the words to use in my book--it was how I wanted to write and knew I could write--and I tried to recall the words--to use them anyway--but they had slipped away.

Then I woke up. It was all a dream. It took me some time to realize, even in waking reality, that those words were My words all along--that already in my consciousness are the beautiful and poetic words I want to write. Indeed--I am the student of the master--I am the protege of that master, and I am the Master.
So I’m going to write my books. Last night in half sleep I saw how Shambala now can be a series of books, the second and third in a series already plotted out. I totally love the Shambala story and I really want you to read it. This is the reason I send out my blogs--to share my stories--and keep you current so I can offer you the opportunity to read Shambala when it’s completed. So my second resolution:
2. I will write 65 blogs this year. In order to do this I will start numbering them and not restrict myself to only one a week. I will write five a month plus five. Yeah!
3. I will work on my novels every day - I will devote three hours and fifteen minutes a day to creative writing. 6.5 hours every two days. 65 hours every twenty days, 650 hours every two hundred days, and at least 1000 hours to creative writing in 2012.
4. I will receive 65 massages this year- at least.
5. I will ride my bike or walk 65 miles a month -
6. I will chose to be with people, at places, around things and at events who/that are honoring and respectful. I myself will do my very best to honor and respect everyone and everything.
7. I will drink at least 65 ounces of water a day, at least.
8. I will respond to every single personal email I receive - within 65 hours.
9. I will do 65 uncomfortable or risky or dangerous or out of my comfort zone things in 2012. and,

10. I will eat at least 650 healthy and good-for-me meals, included or besides those: 325 meals that give me joy.
About the 10th resolution: Pictured here is my Chinese doctor. She’s like a delicate angel--so sweet and loving, caring. She is concerned, as I am, with my liver and cholesterol--suggesting what to avoid--like alcohol and oily foods. She reminds me of how unique our human bodies are, and how precious and dear we all are. I will keep this in mind all the time (one of my resolutions), always reminding mySelf of the precious Being I AM. And continually expand that to include the unique, wonderful and precious Being You Are. 2012 opens the portal to finally see beyond the illusion--to recognize the shining Light of God that We All Are! Love and Light to you always, David Dakan Allison
